I'm using the latest Safari browser extension, but the extension cannot detect the matching record. How can I fix it?

The Keeper Browser Extension matches records by looking at the "Website Address" field of the record as well as the custom fields. If the page you're visiting has a subdomain (e.g. xyz.google.com), the extension first looks at the subdomain for the closest match recorded in your vault. Next, it looks at the "path" information (e.g. xzy.google.com/some/path) and compares it to the path stored within your Keeper record. Please make sure these fields in your record accurately reflect the website you're trying to log into.

If you're still experiencing trouble, the extension has a feature called "Match on Subdomain" which differentiates a record's subdomain from its domain. Make sure this setting is disabled for greater easy of use.

Another possible cause is that a bad match may have been cached and would need to be cleared. Please try the steps below to clear your extension storage.

Safari:

  1. Right click on the Keeper icon from your Safari browser>Mange Extension.

2. Click on Settings.

3. Clear storage (3 in total).

4. Go back to the extension settings (step 2), and uncheck Keeper Password Manager and re-enable it.

5. Click on the Keeper icon from your Safari browser and log back in.
