What's the difference between One-Time Share and Time-Limited Access?
Both features let you share information securely and set it to expire automatically, but they work differently depending on who you're sharing with.
One-Time Share lets you send a record to anyone, even people who don't have a Keeper account. It's ideal for sharing something like a wifi password with a guest, or a payment card with a family member, without sending it over email or text. To create one: open the record, click Share > One-Time Share > Create a One-Time Share, choose when the link should expire, and send it. The link works on one device only and expires automatically, even if you forget to revoke it.
Note: One-Time Share is only available on records created after April 26, 2021. If you don't see the option on an older record, try creating a new one.
Bidirectional One-Time Share takes this further: the recipient can now also edit the record and upload their own files back to you (useful for collecting a signed document or information from someone who isn't a Keeper user). Check the box for "Allow recipient to edit record fields and upload files" when creating the share.
Time-Limited Access is for sharing with other Keeper users on a temporary basis. Instead of a one-time link, the recipient gets normal shared access to the record or folder, but it automatically revokes at a time you choose. To set it up: share the record or folder as usual, then under Permissions click Set Expiration and choose a default or custom expiration time.
