How does Offline Access work in Keeper?
Offline Access lets you get into your vault even when you're not connected to the internet. It's available on all Keeper plans except Keeper Free, on Web Vault, Desktop App (Mac, Windows, Linux), and conditionally on mobile.
How it works: Keeper stores an encrypted copy of your vault locally on your device. You still need your Master Password or biometric login to unlock it, your data stays encrypted even offline.
Turning it on (Web Vault & Desktop App): Click your email address in the top-right corner, go to Settings > Security, and use the dropdown next to "Allow Offline Access." You'll be asked to re-enter your Master Password, then choose how long offline access should last: Always, 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, or 1 day.
Turning it on (Android): Go to Settings (under your avatar in the top right), tap Allow Offline Access, choose a duration, and re-authenticate when prompted.
Turning it on (iOS): Go to Settings, scroll to Allow Offline Access, choose a duration, and re-authenticate when prompted.
Checking if it's on: Look for a lightning bolt icon and "Available Offline" text, that means your vault has been loaded onto that device. If you don't see it, log in at least once while online first.
What works offline: creating and editing records, viewing your Security Audit score, and viewing deleted items (Web and Desktop).
A note on 2FA: if you have 2FA enabled, it's bypassed while working offline, Keeper will warn you about this so you're aware of the tradeoff.
Using it: click Work Offline in the lower corner of the login screen or your vault (iOS and Android switch to offline mode automatically if you're not connected). Click Go Online anytime you're back on a stable connection.
